IBTM has announced that Lucy Bloom, award-winning business expert, author and international master communicator, will be the second keynote speaker at IBTM World 2019, taking place at Fira Barcelona from 19-21 November.
Lucy will deliver a high energy session titled ‘Doing Business Differently’, where she will take the audience on a roller coaster ride full of fascinating experiences and business learnings. Lucy will explain why fun should be a factor in your strategic plan, how kindness and optimism can feed your bottom line and inspire ordinary people to do the extraordinary.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Lucy’s diverse 27-year career has spanned running a successful boutique ad agency to becoming founding CEO of a women’s health charity. In less than three years at the helm of the charity, Lucy built the policy, procedure, team and strategy to raised $7M for a network of hospitals and a midwifery school in Ethiopia.
Lucy then lead a Cambodian children’s charity as the organisation’s first CEO. Her next challenge was as Executive Director of Inspiring Rare Birds, supporting female entrepreneurs to scale their businesses. Here Lucy created the world’s first women-only, all-inclusive speaker’s agency, offering a commercial solution to the gender imbalance on stages all over the world.
Lucy says: “Let’s Do Business Differently at IBTM World 2019. The speech I will be giving in Barcelona covers themes not often heard at conferences and events including courage, kindness, optimism and fun. Delegates will discover a memorable business message to apply to their own work as conference planners and will leave IBTM inspired and energised to apply these learnings to their own businesses.”
David Thompson, Event Director, IBTM World, said: “Lucy is a charismatic, passionate and relatable speaker with an incredible story to tell. She is a true change-maker, and her authentic and humorous style means that her inspirational message will stay with audiences long after she’s walked off stage. We’re very excited to hear Lucy’s talk as part of the Knowledge Programme at IBTM World this year.”
Lucy’s session will take place on the opening day, 19 November at 9.00am in Theatre 1.
